Après la clôture du procès Taylor-Wilde, une violente altercation s'est produite entre le marquis de Queensbury et lord Alfred Douglas,
son fils. Ce dernier a reçu de son père une sévère correction, devant un nombreux public qui a pris parti pour le marquis. Père et fils ont été conduits
au poste, où procès-verbal a été dressé. Les deux adversaires ont été relâchés sous caution.
