OSCAR WILDE DISAPPEARS.
Said to Be Afraid of the Trial of the
Libel Suit.

LONDON, April 2. - It is rumored that Oscar Wilde left London suddenly this morning in order to avoid being present at the trial to-morrow of the suit for libel which he has brought against the Marquis of Queensberry, as a result of the allegations which the Marquis made against him.

London, April 2. - It is rumored that Oscar Wilde left London suddenly this morning in order to avoid being present at the trial tomorrow of the suit for libel which he has brought against the Marquis of Queensberry as a result of the allegations which the Marquis made against him on a card left at the Albemarle club on Feb. 18 last.
